July 12-16 - Sharon has been teaching week-long Portland exploration and bridge building camps at OMSI since 1993 for third, fourth, and fifth graders. For more information about the 2010 camp, contact OMSI at 503 797-4000.
July 24 - PDX Bridge Festival 2010 kicks off. Sharon leads a bridge walk for Portland Parks. Featured guest artist: poet Paulann Petersen <http://www.paulann.net/>. Preregistration NOT required. Meets 8:30 a.m., corner of NW 2nd and Everett. Walk about a mile, see eight bridges, visit the Morrison Bridge's operator tower and bascule pit. Ends about noon with a no-host lunch (extra $) in Chinatown. $16 for adults, $10 for students 12 and under.
