Delivering The New Sauvie Island Bridge...

See also: Feature Bridge.

Ed Wortman at Fought's Yard in Tigard. This is where the Sauvie Island Bridge was fabricated and put together. It was taken down and erected a second time at Terminal 2, and then floated down the Willamette and the Multnomah Channel to its final destination.

It took four tugs to push (and pull) the arch away from Terminal 2. The flags are flying 185 feet above the Willamette.
